Swype Debit Cards

With the following steps you will learn how to create new Swype Virtual Cards and also Physical Metal Cards.

Swype Cards

Once your verification application has been approved, you can then proceed to claim your debit card by going to the Banking page and tapping 'Claim Card'.

If you are unable to see this button, it may be because your account has not yet been verified or that your verification application was rejected. Please contact us for help if the issue persists after pulling to refresh your screen.

Swype debit cards can be used at any point of sale where Visa is accepted. These debit cards are tied to your Swype bank account and not your crypto wallet. This means that you cannot spend your crypto without first liquidating it into fiat using the Fund Account feature.

Refunds to the card are automatically handled by us and your bank account is credited with funds in 2-3 business days.

Swype physical cards come with PIN support and ATM withdrawal features. All information regarding the activation of your card and features will arrive in the mail at your registered address.

If you card is lost or stolen, please let us know and we will pause your card and gladly send a replacement ASAP.

When creating your Swype card

Step 1. Open your Swype app and swype up or tap on 'Banking tab'.

Step 2. Tap ‘Your Cards’ to open up your cards menu to view all existing cards and to add a new card.

Step 3. Tap ‘+ New’ on the top right of your screen on 'Your Cards' list page.

Step 4. Make sure you have ‘virtual selected’ when deciding the type of Swype card you would like to create, and then tap ‘Claim Your Card’.

Note about Physical Swype Cards:

Currently, physical cards are restricted due to issues with our banking partner and logistics + handling. We plan to have this sorted out before the end of October.
